Living The Dream!

I'm finally doing my Mental Magic Comedy Hypnotist show in Yakima, WA!

I'm excited about it because I went to Eisenhower High in Yakima. And because of what it represents to me. I've done stand up there a couple of times, just short sets but never my comedy hypnosis show. On Sept 10th, 2015 I'll be performing at Jack-Sons Sports Bar.

For anyone who's been to Yakima they may find it odd that I'd title this post 'Living the Dream'. When I think of it though it just reminds of how far I've come. In fact I just spoke to the owner of a restaurant in town that I used to work for MANY years ago as a cook. At that point in my life I was making just above minimum wage, living in a crappy house, and was out every night drinking with my friends. I was a LOSER. Not because of the job, the house, or even the drinking.

Well, the drinking was a problem. Fortunately it's no longer an issue for me. I drank mostly to have confidence to talk to people. OK, mostly so I could talk to girls. I had zero confidence, none. I'd read self-help books and wished, and hoped, and dreamed that things would be different but I never made any real progress.

Mostly I felt like a loser because I could not get myself to do the things I was telling myself I wanted to do like quitting drinking, getting a better job, losing weight, quitting smoking, etc. Fortunately due to an accident and the silver lining it provided I moved to CA and made quite a few changes. But I still struggled with figuring out what I wanted to do. Or pursuing anything with ambition and motivation.

I feel so lucky to have eventually discovered NLP and hypnosis. Both of which have helped me to change my life in ways I never thought possible. It's still a struggle at times staying the course, focused on my goals. But it's so much easier than before. I'm not at the level that I want to be eventually with my reach, income, and experience but I'm well on my way. And even though I'm not quite there yet, I have the determination, focus, and tools necessary to get there.

Ever since I can remember I've wanted to;

☑ Be a performer.

☑ Motivate and help others to change.

☑ Be the change, the example of what I was helping others with.

☑ Be an author

☑ Have a job where I could travel and live anywhere.

I'm there! I've done it! But I'm not 'done', done. I still have a lot of work to do to go further in all of these areas and create a truly awesome life. Oh, and while living in Seattle for 20 years I dreamed of living somewhere warm and sunny. I finally moved to Phoenix. Warm and sunny, done! Though I do still miss Seattle and my many friends and family members L Lucky for me I get to visit regularly.

What I want to leave you with is hope. If you could see where I came from and what I'm creating now you would understand that it's possible for you too. What’s your dream?

Hypnosis and NLP were the tools I used and there are many others out there. Maybe hypnosis and NLP won't be the tools you use, but whatever you do -- don't give up! Find the tools, the mentors, and the friends that will support you in your goals. And if you’re in Yakima, come see the show and say ‘hi’ afterwards. I’d love to know what your dream is, and plan to get there.

Next week Yakima - next year, Bali!
